My great grand parents, John and Annie Campbell, were Lucy Maud’s Aunt and Uncle, and lived at what is now The Anne of Green Gables Museum. We have visitors from all over the world visit our property and I hope they come to know the olden gladness, beauty and welcome that filled Maud’s heart when she visited Silver Bush.
Lucy Maud Montgomery spent a great deal of time at our Campbell Homestead. It was here she chose to be was married, in our parlour, on July 5, 1911. Nestled beside our home is Lucy Maud’s Lake of Shining Waters, mentioned through out her writings.
